The Senior Director supervises and oversees administration and day to day operation of Music For All Seasons. Reports to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
Music For All Seasons was founded in 1991 by Rena Fruchter and Brian Dallow to bring the healing power of music to those in need.
The organization presents live, interactive musical programs for people of all ages and in all types of institutions in five states—New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and California. Voices of Valor, created by MFAS in 2011, provides a therapeutic songwriting program for veterans in groups of 8-12, working with two professional musician/facilitators. The veterans write and record their original group song over the course of nine sessions. www.musicforallseasons.org

Duties and Responsibilities

Supervises and oversees administration and day to day operation of Music For All Seasons. Reports to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

Responsible for:

• Implementing the mission and ensuring that the policies, direction and strategies determined by the Board of Trustees are carried out.

• Planning and monitoring major fundraising programs; writing proposals to foundations, corporations, and government entities for funding; working to increase awareness of the work of Music For All Seasons.

• Ensuring that all government requirements, both Federal and Local, are met; filing the necessary reports and documents to state and federal agencies; ensuring that tax requirements are met and appropriate documents filed; checking that all activities of Music For All Seasons remain within the guidelines of 501(c)(3) regulations.

• Monitoring the budget; approving all budgeted expenses; ensuring that the accounts are audited annually; maintaining all accounting and financial documents; preparing, along with the treasurer, regular financial reports for the Board of Trustees; preparing the annual budget.

• Along with the Artistic Team, supervising MFAS staff; overseeing, evaluating and developing all programs and future directions.

• Together with the Board of Trustees, developing policy and direction of the organization.

Requirements

The applicant must have at least five years of high level administrative experience.
Strong musical knowledge and nonprofit experience will be helpful.
College degree required.
Must live in New Jersey or New York, have transportation, and be willing to attend programs and work on different days in two different offices (Scotch Plains and Montclair).
