Arts education spans a lifetime. The more than one million young people who participate in the arts in New Jersey are more likely to stay in school and excel academically. Participation in the arts also fosters critical learning skills – like leadership, collaboration, and perseverance – that prepare students to become 21st century leaders. However, learning does not stop at a specific age. Adults who are involved in creative activities and attend cultural events also benefit from positive changes in health and psychological well-being.
These videos share stories of art education’s impact on lifelong learning.
