Celebrate Discover Jersey Arts Month this October!
Every October, Discover Jersey Arts Month celebrates the people, organizations, experiences, and communities that make New Jersey’s arts and culture sector extraordinary. Now in its 19th year, the month-long celebration invites New Jerseyans to experience the arts, discover something new, and recognize the many ways creativity enriches life across the Garden State.
This year, we’re asking a bigger question: What becomes possible "Because of the Arts...?" Throughout October, Discover Jersey Arts will explore how the arts create belonging, strengthen communities, enrich our lives, and help make New Jersey...New Jersey.
From a performance that brings people together to a festival that fills a downtown, a museum that sparks curiosity, or a cultural tradition passed from one generation to the next, the arts shape who we are and how we experience the places we call home.
Arts and cultural organizations across New Jersey are invited to be part of the story. The 2026 Discover Jersey Arts Month Partner Toolkit makes participation easy, with ready-to-share graphics and social copy, customizable Canva assets, a Proud Participant logo, and simple prompts to help organizations share what happens in their communities: "Because of the Arts..." Participation can be as simple as one post.
