Harmonium Choral Society is looking for a part-time experienced marketing professional for 10 hours per week contracted position for someone with a marketing background for $25 per hour.
This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our social media strategy to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and ultimately, drive audience growth. This includes creating content, engaging with followers, analyzing performance, staying up to date on the latest social media trends, and reporting to and working with the marketing team and reports directly to the executive director with oversight from the board marketing committee chair.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
Content Creation and Curation:
• Develop and curate engaging content: This includes text, images, videos, and other multimedia formats tailored to different platforms and audiences.
• Create and manage a social media content calendar: Scheduling posts to maintain a consistent online presence.
• Write compelling copy: Crafting engaging captions, posts, and other social media copy.
• Ensure brand consistency: Maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all social media platforms.
Community Engagement and Management:
• Engage with followers: Responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Foster a positive online community: Building relationships with followers and encouraging interaction.
• Monitor online conversations: Staying informed about what people are saying about the brand and addressing any concerns or issues.
Strategy and Analysis:
• Implement social media strategies: Aligning social media efforts with overall marketing and organizational goals.
• Track and analyze social media performance: Measuring key metrics like engagement rates, reach, and conversions.
• Identify trends and opportunities: Staying informed about the latest social media trends and adapting strategies accordingly.
• Report on social media performance: Providing regular reports to the marketing committee and board of directors on key metrics and insights.
Other Responsibilities:
• Stay up to date on social media best practices: Continuously learning about new features, tools, and trends.
• Collaborate with other teams: Working with marketing, and other members to align social media efforts with overall organizational goals.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with good aesthetic judgment and sensibility, sound judgment, and a knack for creating thoughtful content, quick turnaround time and a good sense of humor is always appreciated. Must have 2 years of marketing experience. Some on site attendance availability preferred. Knowledge of choral music a plus!
