The Community Engagement Assistant is responsible for assisting with STNJ's community engagement and education programs, including, but not limited to the Milk & Cookies music & storytelling series, the New Brunswick Heart Festival, Summer Movie Series, Performances for Schools, and Community Engagement Committees

Duties and Responsibilities

A flexible schedule varies each week and includes a combination of in-office time and attendance at Community Engagement events. May include evenings and weekends. A schedule will be established bi-weekly

Assist with logistical aspects of STNJ's community engagement and education programs, including (but not limited to):
Support and marketing materials

Advance setup and day-of program assistance

Set up and work information tables at public events

Effectively use Canva, social media, and other tools for targeted community engagement and event promotion
Other duties and special projects as may be assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma, plus 1-2 years relevant experience

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Strong networking and cultivation skills

Ability to work a varied schedule to include nights and weekends as dictated by the Community Engagement schedule

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel and Word


Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and appreciation of performing arts
Fluency in Spanish
