Essential Functions Support Dance to Learn (DTL) Curriculum and Roxey Ballet Education Events

Duties and Responsibilities

● Dance to Learn In-School residency program -
○ Reaching out to school administrators, teachers, home-school families, community organizations to invite them to our matinee and sensory-friendly performances.
○ Booking and Administration Responsibilities - setting DTL residency dates, assigning Roxey Ballet teaching artists to each residency, creating, completing and following up on contracts, completing online surveys and DTL documentation (assessments, photos, videos, quotes, etc.), writing and submitting reports
○ Attend Dance to Learn trainings and debriefings on behalf of Roxey Ballet
○ Write new DTL curriculum lessons
● School Matinee and Sensory-Friendly Performances -
○ Reaching out to school administrators, teachers, home-school families, community organizations to invite them to our matinee performances
○ Handling large group reservations made for the matinee performances
● In-Studio Event Series -
○ Schedule, market, and communicate to staff the in-studio events open to the community (Tutus and Tiaras, Tea Party and Open Studio events)
○ Create new community-based programs, partnerships, and other engagement initiatives
○ Identify, initiate, and deepen relationships with various community organizations
○ Invite local organizations and groups to events
● Community Appearances -
○ mine opportunities for RB dancers to be present in the community
○ Book performances at festivals, community days, fundraising events, etc.
● Outreach/Networking -
○ Attend local marketing and networking events on behalf of Roxey Ballet to learn more about what other organizations are doing and learn new strategies to continue expanding Roxey Ballet’s footprint
○ Create and maintain various databases of groups and organization
● Organize and set up sensory-friendly performances of Nutcracker and Children’s Classic Stories
○ Successful actions include:
■ Creation of a pre-visit social story
■ Creation of a Tea Party for each event
■ Creation of a picture schedule
■ Creation of web page with performance information unique to the sensory-friendly performance
■ Break area activities and sensory materials need to be created and/or purchased - Marginal Function
■ Creation and distribution of marketing materials sent to target
market organizations and individuals
■ Training of staff, dancers, and volunteers prior to the performance

Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated, organized individual with a degree or equivalent experience in the field.
Required proficiencies:
Google
Mac
Graphic design experience
Excellent verbal, writing, and communication skills
Detail-oriented
Ability to mine, manage, close, and monitor agreements
Maintain quality relationships with education, business, and organizational entities
Build, manage, and maintain budgets
Flexibility with schedule, some weekends are required
